Early Life

Los Angeles, California, bore witness to Kylie Jenner’s birth on August 10, 1997. She stands as the youngest offspring of business moguls Kris Jenner and the former Olympian Bruce Jenner (now known as Caitlyn Jenner). Kendall Jenner, a model, serves as Kylie’s elder sister, whereas her half-siblings comprise Kim Kardashian, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, and Brody Jenner. Kylie made her screen debut at a tender age of 10 when Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered on E! on October 14, 2007. Presently, KUWTK stands as the longest-running reality TV show in the US. During the show’s initial years, Kylie led a regular pre-teen life, attending school and partaking in cheerleading activities. In 2012, she transitioned to a home-based study program, culminating in her high school diploma acquisition in July 2015.

Wealth Estimates

We have been skeptical of proclamations of Kylie’s wealth at CelebrityNetWorth for years. In mid-2018, we estimated her net worth to be between $150-$200 million. Forbes claimed in July of that year that she was worth $900 million and on track to be the youngest self-made billionaire in the world, all based on the reported revenue and growth of Kylie Cosmetics. We saw the same numbers and knew right away they were likely entirely made up, so we published:

“Kylie Jenner Is Not Worth $900 Million – That’s A Silly Clickbait Headline To Sell Magazines.”

The 2018 Forbes article claimed that Kylie’s makeup company was worth $800 million and reported that in 2016, the company generated $307 million in revenue. The article mentioned that Kylie Cosmetics’ revenues had not been growing, with an overall revenue growth of just 7% in 2017. Therefore, we believed a more reality-based net worth number for Kylie in July 2018 was $300-400 million.

Forbes was later forced to retract their article in May 2020, titled:

“Inside Kylie Jenner’s Web of Lies – And Why She’s No Longer a Billionaire.”

The Forbes retraction revealed that all of their information was false, including the financials of Kylie’s business and sales figures.

Coty Sale

Despite the discrepancies, Kylie did earn a significant amount from her sale to Coty. Forbes noted in their retraction that Kylie did not own a full 100% of the company at the time of the sale. She sold half of her 90% stake at a $1.2 billion valuation. However, the sale has not performed well for Coty, with a 60% stock price decline in the six months following the deal.

The company’s total market cap today is $2.8 billion, including various brands and Kylie Cosmetics. It is probable that Coty will need to write off a large portion of the brand’s value, potentially rendering Jenner’s remaining stake valueless.

Kylie Jenner Real Estate

Kylie Jenner has engaged in several real estate dealings within Southern California over the years. Today, she possesses no less than FIVE mansions in the region.

Calabasas: Her first home, purchased at 17 for $2.7 million, was in the exclusive gated community of The Oaks in Calabasas, California. She sold this residence for $3.15 million in 2017.

Hidden Hills: The eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom mansion she currently resides in Hidden Hills, California, was acquired for $12 million in 2016. Spanning 13,000 square feet, the abode boasts eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.

In May 2020, she bought a vacant lot in Hidden Hills, Ca., for $15 million, enlisting renowned architect Richard Landry for an 18,000-square-foot mansion design.

Kylie’s initial Hidden Hills mansion, purchased for $6 million in May 2016, sits on nearly 4.5 acres of land, featuring six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Following, she purchased the adjacent vacant lot. Ultimately, she sold the mansion for $6.7 million and the lot for $5.35 million in September 2018. View a drone video showcasing the property above.

Beverly Hills: In October 2018, Kylie and Travis Scott jointly acquired a Beverly Hills, Ca., abode for $13.45 million. Subsequently listed for sale in October 2022 just under $22 million, a video tour of the property can be seen below:

La Quinta: In February 2019, Kylie invested $3.25 million into an undeveloped La Quinta, Ca., plot within the exclusive Madison Club gated community; an area where several of her relatives also own property.

Holmby Hills: In April 2020, she acquired a 15,000-square-foot Holmby Hills, Ca., mansion for $36.5 million.

Monthly Expenses

Reportedly, Kris Jenner’s close source disclosed Kylie expends $300,000 monthly on clothes for herself and her daughter. Additionally, $300-400,000 per MONTH is reportedly allocated to car payments and security.

Kylie’s property acquisitions amounted to a combined $80 million over various transactions. In California, her annual property tax bill typically comprises about 1% of the purchase price. This figures to an approximate $800,000 owed annually, translating to roughly $67k per month.

Private Jet + “Climate Criminal”

Recent reports suggest Kylie owns a $72 million Global Express private jet. Criticism arose when it was revealed she frequently employs the jet for noticeably short flights. The “Climate Criminal” moniker surfaced in July 2022 post an incident where she flew from Van Nuys to Camarillo, California, a brief trip by road, but just 12 minutes by air. Amidst backlash, she posted a photo with Travis Scott in front of two jets captioned, “You wanna take mine or yours?”, further intensifying the critique.

Given her supposed eco-friendly persona, critics lambasted her actions.

Personal Life

Kylie began dating Travis Scott in 2017, leading to the birth of their daughter in February 2018. By mid-2019, they chose to live separately. An earlier relationship was with rapper Tyga spanning 2014 to 2017.
