Aspire R1 Review Last Updated: September 29, 2024

“Can this kit compete with the likes of Elf Bar & Geek bar?”

“The Aspire R1 has arrived, and aims to bring something different to the table. This refillable disposable vape kit offers a step up from e cigs like the Elf Bar. But can Aspire compete with the market leaders? Let’s find out!”

“Appearance”

“Simple, but effective. The Aspire R1 has sleek clean lines and feels good to hold. The matt finish looks nice, and I really like the lines that run up the body and pod. It’s small, with no issues placing it in a coat or jeans pocket. The mouthpiece is comfortable in use and it can stand upright and stable thanks to its flat battery base.”

“The R1 isn’t the most stunning e cig out there, but what it lacks in looks it makes up for in other areas. Sometimes less is more, and this kit is a great example of that. In other words, it does exactly what it says it will do.”

“I also like how the filling tab has some space above to get your finger under it to refill. It’s not going to set the design world on fire for sure, but it’s things like this that I appreciated.”

“Performance”

“The most important aspect of any e cig. And you will be pleased to know that the R1 doesn’t let you down. Using its years of know-how, Aspire has given us a coil that’s ideal for MTL vapers, and gives a surprising amount of vapour. I was using my favourite nic salt e liquid, and it never missed a beat all through the 10ml bottle. The auto draw worked well and there are no buttons to press which is ideal for a more seamless experience.”

“The 0.8ohm coil does a great job of giving you lots of flavour, vapour and lasts about as long as you’d expect it to. The 650mAh battery can easily last a day, and charging is fast using the USB-C charging port. It was also easy to refill from the side which is a big plus.”

“I was worried that without being able to take the pod off, it would be game over should it leak or flood. I am happy to say that I didn’t have any issues at all here. Obviously once the coil has died you need to replace the whole device, but its more cost effective than regular disposable vapes.”

“It worked beautifully, and it was almost a shame to throw it away once the coil was done. But it easily outshines Geek Bar and Elf Bar for me. The Aspire R1 lasts longer, gives more vapour and more importantly, performs better.”

“Ease Of Use”

“This e cig is very easy to use. If it did not need refilling then it would be just as easy to use as any other disposable. The coil doesn’t need changing, and there are no buttons to press. This is an ideal kit for pretty much any vaper.”

“I like how easy it is to fill, and the charging port is simple to access. The only thing I could pull it down for is that you can’t actually use it while on charge. This isn’t a dealbreaker, but it’s a shame pass-through wasn’t included.”

“If you are in need of a simple e cig, then the Aspire R1 was made for you. It’s a great step up from the usual disposable vapes, and it will last longer too.”

“Price”

“The Aspire R1 is priced at £6.99 on our website, and offers great value for money. Most disposables last for a day (if that), and cost around £4.99. This kit should last up to a week, and can be refilled. For what you get, it’s a great intro to vaping or as a pick up and go”

Target Audience

Literally anyone can use this kit. It’s ideal for new vapers or those looking to explore vaping for the first time. Even if you’re already into vaping and just need something for travel or a day trip, this kit is perfect.

Unless you’re solely focused on creating massive clouds, the Aspire R1 will meet the needs of most users.

Verdict

This compact e-cig sets itself apart from competitors with its simplicity. It provides excellent value for money, delivers great flavor, and is incredibly user-friendly. While its ability to compete with Elf Bar or Geek Bar remains to be seen, never underestimate the potential of this small kit.
